the Liebls

I was just made aware that people are starting to access the blog again. cool.
Not much new here in Richmond, Mn or with our family.

Danielle attends the school district (not the school) that had the first confirmed case of swine flu. Yeah!!! Seems ROCORI school district is quite the trend setters and in the news frequently...not always in a good way. Danielle is a junior at ROCORI high school and very busy with Special Olympics, Student Senate, school board liasion, National Honor Society committments, the Athlete Leadership program for Special O, she is a big sister for the Big Brother Big Sister program, and she is a Youth & Theology Minister at our church. Yhew...I am tired just typing everything. Health wise she has been good. She just recovered from a broken foot she acquired at a swim meet.

Cassie just completed her sophmore year at Iowa State. She stayed busy working in the Sociology department, continues to clean rooms at the Best Western, taking classes, playing intramural broomball, and on 2 softball leagues. Anything else she does in college, we probably do not want to know about. She loves Iowa and is staying there this summer with a couple week long trips home. She was recently promoted to supervisor on the weekends at the Best Western and with jobs as scarce as they are, she felt it best to stay with a guaranteed job during the summer and pick up a summer class. We will miss her, and cannot wait to see her in a couple weeks.

Over the 4th of July we will trek to Georgia with Mike's family to see his brother (the plan is to take an RV...we will see). We want to maybe stop in and see Shawn and Tammy while in the area.

Mike still works for Breitbach and is currently busy...yeah.
I still work for CentraCare and though hit by the economy, we have lucked out with layoffs as of yet. Many other healthcare facilities are on their second round of layoffs so we are pretty lucky.

Nothing else is new. Tomorrow is opening fishing and I plan to start the day with my fishing pole in the water casting for pan fish. Hopefully they will be biting.

Happy Mother's day everyone!

Kotten Clan

Ok, I am one of those people that always says I don't have time to be on the computer, but I am going to try harder.
It was nice to see what everyone is up to.
Things are pretty much the same here. I still am working way to many hours. On the average I am putting in about 80 hours a week. The economy is really taking a toll on the restaurant business, so I am trying to pick up the slack by working more hours and cutting everyone elses hours. We are still fighting though. Steve is also working alot. He works for his brother at Kotten Refrigeration in the morning, and goes to what I call his real job (AMPI) in the afternoon.
We really don't see much of each other, but that is how we get along so well--Ha Ha.
Bryan is working for a local roofing contractor. It's been really slow this winter, but he was never laid off. Things are picking up for them now.

Jessica is finishing her 3rd year at Concordia College in Moorhead in a week. She will be coming home this summer and working for me. She has a steady boyfriend named Dustin from Belgrade. They have been dating for a year now, who said long distant relationships don't work.

Anna--Well Anna is defiantly one of a kind. She is graduating this year with honors. She was in volleyball, gymnastics, national honor society, peer tutor, and at times she was a real pain in the butt. She works at the restaurant. She hasn't worked that much lately since her knee surgery, but she is going to start working more now. She has been dating Brett for 3 years now.
She will be going to Central Lakes College in Brainerd for 1 year to get her generals, and then probably transfer to St. Scholastica in Duluth for the physical therapy program.. But who knows that can change to.

Steve and I hopefully will be able to take a couple motorcycle trips this summer, other wise it will be just working and doing some golfing. If anybody is in town this summer and wants to do some golfing, give us a call.

I promise I will try harder to view and write

Rocky Mountain Easter

The community Easter egg hunt is still scheduled for this morning and the eggs have been hidden, but it's snowing so it ought to be fun trying to find eggs! I thought about taking Jason, but I think we'll find something else to do.
It's so good to see our neices and nephews posting. What wonderful lives you are leading.

I know everyone thinks their lives are too busy to take a few minutes to keep in touch, but sorry, no one is THAT BUSY. If you had time to open this blog, you have time to say hello.

As for us, we're still alive. We're working on remodeling a house in New Mexico and will probably move into it this fall. We still have our cows and property in MO.
We're currently caretaking a property of a friend in Durango. Hey Groshens-we have elk that have been coming up onto steps and front porch of the house and apartment. They also got thought it was ok to stand by the car and trucks in the parking garage and rub themselves. Their so friendly---when it's not hunting season!
